Trainer Spotlight: Meet Sogility Westfield’s Allan Ramirez
At Sogility, our trainers are more than coaches, they’re mentors, motivators, and role models who help athletes discover their potential. This month, we’re excited to spotlight one of our dedicated Sogility Westfield trainers: Allan Ramirez.
A Unique Soccer Journey
Allan’s soccer story begins in Mexico City, where he was born and developed an early passion for the game. Unlike many players who rise through traditional youth club systems, Allan’s path looked very different.
He only played one year of high school soccer and never played travel or club soccer growing up. Instead, he sharpened his skills in local adult leagues at a young age. His determination and love for the sport propelled him forward, eventually leading him to play semi-pro for multiple seasons and earn opportunities to try out for professional clubs.
Allan’s unconventional path is proof that there is no single way to pursue the game, and that passion can take you far.

Inspired by the Love of the Game
When asked what inspired him to become a trainer, Allan’s answer is simple: soccer changed his life, and he wants to give back.
The sport opened doors, created opportunities, and shaped who he is today. Becoming an agility trainer allows Allan to share what soccer has given him and make an impact on the next generation of players.

Fun Facts: The Person Behind the Trainer
Off the field, Allan enjoys hobbies that might surprise many players who train with him. He’s an avid LEGO builder, working on new sets whenever he gets the chance. He also collects soccer trading cards, with his current collection heavily focused on Real Madrid players and Cristiano Ronaldo. These passions reflect the creativity and dedication he also brings to his coaching.
A Training Style Built on Creativity and Growth
Allan believes in giving players space to think, create, and discover solutions for themselves.
Creativity is a core part of his coaching philosophy. He focuses on teaching strong fundamentals first, ensuring players build a solid base before moving into more advanced, in-depth training.
His approach encourages players to experiment, learn, and grow with confidence.
Favorite Sogility Facet: TSZ
Out of all the Sogility training features, Allan’s personal favorite is Technical Soccer Zone.
Why? Because it’s all about repetition, touches, and visible progress.
Players get constant work on both feet, and when they bring effort and focus, they can see their scores improve quickly. For Allan, it’s rewarding to watch players rise through consistent hard work.
A Common Training Mistake: Going Too Fast
One issue Allan often sees in young athletes is the urge to go full speed all the time. But just like in a real match, training has different tempos.
Slowing down to break down movements can actually help players speed up naturally later. Technique comes first — and with patience, precision leads to performance.
Two Things Every Player Controls
Allan gives all Sogility athletes the same core advice: You control your attitude and your effort.
No one can train hard
for you. Showing up with a positive mindset and giving maximum effort is what separates average players from exceptional ones. Even on long or difficult days, bringing your best self to training makes all the difference.
Staying Motivated: Remembering the “Why”
On tough days, Allan stays motivated by remembering why he chose this path. Soccer has given him so much, and coaching allows him to give back — to families, to the community, and to players who are just beginning their own journeys.
For him, waking up every day and getting to work in the sport he loves is a blessing.
Advice for Beginners: Enjoy the Journey
To those just starting out in soccer, Allan’s message is clear: take it slow.
It’s easy to compare yourself to others, but everyone develops at their own pace. Focus on the fundamentals, trust the process, and enjoy every step. The journey matters just as much as the destination.
