Job Description

The Director of Athlete Development at Sogility is responsible for designing and delivering programming that empowers athletes to reach their full potential. This role focuses on motivation, education, and guidance in areas such as nutrition, conditioning, speed, resistance training, mobility, and recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement speed, strength, and conditioning programs for athletes participating in Athlete Development (AD) and Advanced AD sessions.
  • Collaborate with players, partner coaches, sports medicine providers, and other staff to support athlete success.
  • Track athlete attendance and progress using the Sogility Growth Indicator system.
  • Conduct annual needs analysis for facility improvements and program optimization.
  • Set and enforce high standards for athlete conduct, reflecting Sogility’s brand and values.
  • Maintain a personal health and fitness lifestyle aligned with company expectations.
  • Complete required training and educational courses as assigned.
  • Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Human Performance (required).
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Expertise in strength training techniques and analysis.
  • Strong motivational and organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to positively interact with athletes, colleagues, and the public.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience coaching speed, strength, and conditioning at the private, high school, collegiate, or professional level (preferred).

This is a full-time, salaried position. The Director of Athlete Development is expected to bring the experience, expertise, and knowledge necessary to fulfill these responsibilities effectively.

Full-Time Coach - Westfield, IN; St. Louis, MO; and Medina, OH.

Full-Time General Trainer

Location: Sogility Facility

Hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week


As a General Trainer at Sogility, your primary role is to assist and coach players during 30-minute training sessions, ensuring maximum effectiveness and enjoyment. You’ll be responsible for mastering the use of Sogility’s cutting-edge equipment, delivering sessions aligned with our training curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with players to encourage participation. Trainers are expected to actively engage during sessions—coaching, instructing, and monitoring players throughout, while remaining focused and professional. Additional duties include promoting Sogility’s programs, promptly reporting any technical or player-related issues to the General Manager, and supporting our social media presence by sharing and engaging with posts.

Trainers represent Sogility professionally at all times, maintaining respectful relationships with members, parents, and players while ensuring safety procedures are followed when necessary.


Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with a USSF National Coaching License, prior coaching experience (youth, collegiate, or professional levels), and a background in private, one-on-one training or competitive play. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities, and physical capability to perform job functions (e.g., standing, bending, and lifting 40+ pounds) are required. A passion for soccer is preferred but not mandatory.

Sogility General Trainer

Job Description


As a General Trainer at Sogility, your primary responsibility is to assist and coach players during 30-minute training sessions, ensuring maximum effectiveness and enjoyment. You will be expected to actively engage with players, monitor their progress, and deliver high-quality training experiences. Trainers must have a comprehensive understanding of all Sogility equipment and instruct sessions according to Sogility’s established training curriculum, including completing check-ins via Upper Hand and the SGI training app. Building rapport with players and encouraging participation in additional training opportunities is key to fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.


General Trainers are required to maintain a high level of engagement throughout sessions, actively coaching and instructing players. Trainers should avoid sitting, leaning, or eating during sessions and must address technical or player issues promptly by reporting them to the General Manager. Additionally, Trainers are expected to support Sogility’s social media presence by engaging with and sharing posts.

They must also perform safety and emergency procedures as needed. While a passion for soccer is preferred, it is not required.


Qualifications & Experience:

 • Preferred qualifications include a USSF National Coaching License, prior coaching experience (youth, collegiate, or professional levels), and experience in private, one-on-one training. A background in competitive soccer, such as club, collegiate, or professional play, is also desirable.

 • Trainers must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to creating an inviting environment, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and clients.

 • Physical requirements include the ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, stand for long periods, and lift equipment or supplies weighing 40+ pounds.
